Rob K. Carrol

Robert Carrol is a Senior partner in the prestigious global Law Firm of Nixon Peabody LLP and resident in the Firm's San Francisco Office. His career as an agent for NBA and international professionals began in the late 1970s He is the chair of the firm’s western United States employment law practice and leader of the Beverage Alcohol Team. He advises, represents, and trains clients in employment and labor law, including wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment, union elections, collective bargaining, arbitrations, ADA Title III access, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, wage/hour, and agricultural labor cases throughout the U.S. He also serves on Nixon Peabody’s Diversity Action Committee.

Mr. Carrol was also part of a group of lawyers who were instrumental in the founding of the Agent Certification program administered by the National Basketball Players' Association in the mid-1980s to raise the level of competence and professionalism of those desiring to represent NBA players. Over the years, Carrol has insisted that P2W be kept at a boutique size and has chosen only to represent players who demonstrate a commitment to professionalism both on and off the court and unselfish service to their families and communities.
