Outlook
Omar Weaver is a scorer who is a shooter with deep range. He's a versatile
guard that possesses tremendous basketball ability. Omar is a wing who can
score and has a nice outside shot as well as solid post moves. In some games at
Fresno State, Weaver -- equipped with a silky outside shot as well as solid
post moves -- dominated such talents as DeShawn Stevenson (Utah Jazz 1st round
pick , now with Washington Wizards) and Brandon Armstrong (New Jersey Nets 1st
round pick)..

ESPN’s Andy Katz's take:” Weaver has
moved around quite a bit since his junior season of high school,
signing with Missouri as a senior in 2000 but taking the JUCO route instead. He
most likely would have
honored his commitment to play at
retired. The wing can score and has a nice outside shot as well as solid post
moves. But he hasn't played
against the level of talent he will at the next level, thus isn't a lock for
the first round.”
