Equally adept at guarding the post or defending a player on the perimeter. He is an athletic player with quickness and leaping ability, who runs the floor well and is a strong rebounder. Trend is not afraid of contact and is able to play a physical game, as a veteran of the strong Big East Conference in NCAA.. Trend is slashing player who can put the ball on the floor and finish strongly at the basket. An asset to any team because of the intensity, energy and leadership that Trend brings to his team.

He had a super tip dunk that brought the crowd out of their seats.He is very long and he is a great shot blocker. He... could be a serious player in the future. “Lawrence Blackledge was probably the X-Factor for the Sevilla team as he made his presence felt during the game with his crazy athleticism, length, shot blocking ability and offensive rebounding as he scored 17pts, 7rbs, 4 blocks and had a tip dunk that brought the crowd out of their seats.”

07-08: played 27 games for a Marquette team that advanced to 2nd round of the NCAA post-season Tournament and finished ranked 21st in NCAA.  Trend finished 2nd on the team in blocked shots. Against Savannah St and Coppin St.pulled down 5 rebounds in only 13 minutes played and 18 minutes with 2 blocks (vs. Coppin St.)…scored 7 points in 4 minutes against Providence…6 points and 2 blocked shots against Notre Dame… registered 2 blocked shots in 6 minutes vs. Seton Hall and another 2 blocked shots against South Florida in 7 minutes.
06-07: played 14 minutes against Detroit (Nov. 13), scoring six points, grabbing two rebounds, blocking a shot and recording two steals ... scored a career best eight points and had a career high seven rebounds against Eastern Mich. (Nov. 18) ... tallied a career high two blocks in 11 minutes vs. North Dakota State (Dec. 2) ... scored four points in 12 minutes against UMBC (Dec. 16) ... in a career long 20 minutes scored six points and grabbed three rebounds vs. Morgan State (Dec. 22).

a major contributor during his two seasons with the Blue Storm, Blackledge averaged 10.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 blocks and shot 56-percent from the field in leading his team to 34 victories and a sixth place finish in the NJCAA national tournament in his last season ... possess a seven-foot wingspan and blocked 230 shots during his two years at SWIC ... was named First Team All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference in 2005-06 and an honorable mention NJCAA All-American.

Two-year letter winner at Carbondale High School...As a senior, led his team to the Illinois State Tournament final four by averaging 10 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots...was named first team all-division and conference, and honorable mention all-state.
